ANN Early Career Workshop
The Australian Nanotechnology Network (ANN) will be holding an Early Career Workshop in Adelaide on July 25-26, 2013 (Thursday and Friday) at the Function Centre at Flinders University.

The aim of this symposium is to provide a forum for early career researchers (ECRs)* and postgraduate students working on nanotechnology research to present their work, meet other researchers and students, and interact with other research groups in Australia.
(* ECR generally defined as within 5 years of award of Ph.D. degree or 8 years due to career interruptions)

Travel to Flinders
From the airport: the easiest way is to get a taxi (~30 min)
From the Glenelg Backpacker: Take bus #300towards Arndale right in front of the Backpackers, after about 30 minutes get off at Flinders University, Registry Road
The dinner will be held at “The Surf Club”, Glenelg, which is within walking distance from the Backpackers accommodation.

The Symposium will consist of 20 contributed talks of 15 minutes duration, a poster session, a career building session, and networking opportunities. The presentations will be from Australian ECRs and postgraduate students, along with keynote talks by more senior speakers.
Attendance is open to all staff, postgraduate, and undergraduate students at Australian research institutions, centres, and organisations (Universities, CSIRO, DSTO, industry, etc.). However, seating is limited and preference will be given to ECRs, postgraduate students, and ANN members.
There will be no registration fee for attendance at the Symposium, however all participants are asked to register for catering purposes. In the event you register and are unable to attend, we ask that you cancel your registration to give others an opportunity to attend.
All registrants will receive a conference pack with the main program and all abstracts in electronic format and have access to all sessions, morning/afternoon teas, lunches, and dinner Thursday night.

Travel support will be provided to ~10 postgraduate students selected to present at the Symposium. This is expected to be in the range from $300-$800 depending on the distance required to travel from home institution to Adelaide and proposed budget (see details on ‘Accommodation’ below). Presenters can apply for travel support once notification of acceptance of abstract is received by utilising the registration form.
All postgraduate students will be provided with free accommodation . Accommodation details will be up shortly
