Nanotechnology Entrepreneurship Workshop for Early Career Researchers

The Australian Nanotechnology Network (ANN)will be holding a Nanotechnology Entrepreneurship Workshop for Early Career Researchers at  Griffith University,  Theatre 3 at the Gold Coast Campus on June10-11th, 2014 (Wednesday and Thursday)

The aim of this workshop is to provide a forum for early career researchers (ECRs) and postgraduate students working on nanotechnology research to interact with industry leader and learn about how to commercialise Nanotechnology. Industry leaders will share experiences in commercialising technologies.

Workshop  Registration

Attendance is open to all staff, postgraduate, and undergraduate students at Australian research institutions, centres, and organisations (Universities, CSIRO, DSTO, ANSTO, industry, etc.). Preference will be given to ECRs, postgraduate students, and ANN members.

There will be no registration fee for attendance at the workshop, however all participants are asked to register for catering purposes. In the event you register and are unable to attend, we ask that you cancel your registration to give others an opportunity to attend.

All registrants will receive a workshop pack with the main program and all abstracts in electronic format and have access to all sessions, morning/afternoon teas, lunches, and BBQ on Wednesday night.

Workshop  Program

Travel Support

Travel support will be provided to postgraduate students and Early Career Researchers selected to present at the workshop. This is expected to be in the range from $200-$500 depending on the distance required to travel from home institution to Gold Coast  Presenters can apply for travel support by utilising the registration form.

Wireless Internet

All workshop  participants will have access to wireless internet at the venue. Login procedures will be provided in the conference pack. Alternatively, participants could also utilise ‘eduroam’ ( ) validated by their home institution login details. It is recommended that users setup ‘eduroam’ at their home institution first for ease of access.
