ARCNN funding support and sponsorship guidelines
ARCNN supports the nanotechnology community by making funding support available to postgraduate students and early career researchers (within 5 years of award of PhD degree) for travel and accommodation expenses associated with Short term visits and Long Term Visits, within Australia. ARCNN also offers postgraduate students and early career researchers (within 5 years of award of PhD degree) Overseas Travel Fellowships to support for travel and accommodation expenses associated with research visits of up to 3 months duration at collaborating research institutions overseas.
Sponsorship is available for Conferences, Workshops, Summer and Winter Schools, and Short courses that are held in Australia, organised by ARCNN members, and are of benefit to the broader nanotechnology community. ARCNN requires that sponsorship funding be used to support postgraduate students and early career researchers (within 5 years of award of PhD degree) through free or reduced registration fees, and/or for invited speaker travel expenses. ARCNN also requires applications for event sponsorship to be submitted at least 3 months prior to the event, and preferably 6 months prior to the event.
Young Nanotechnology Ambassador Awards are offered to postgraduate students to promote science and science education in schools around Australia
Travel grants may also be available to postgraduate students and early career researchers (within 5 years of award of PhD degree) to attend ARCNN sponsored Conferences, Workshops, Summer and Winter Schools, and Short courses.

Where ARCNN provides sponsorship or grant funding towards proposed visits, events, or travel, it is not liable for any further expenses or any other aspects of those events, travel or visits. The recipient of the sponsorship or grant funding provided by ARCNN is fully responsible for all aspects of the event, travel or visit. Receipt of ARCNN support must be acknowledged in all publications and promotional materials relating to a visit, conference, workshop, summer or winter school, or short course; including published proceedings.
