Following on from the highly successful ICONN 2006 Conference which attracted 460 delegates, the event in 2008 will once again bring together the Australian and International community working in the field of nanoscale science and technology to discuss new and exciting advances in the field.
The ICONN Conference is the most significant Australian event focused on this important field of research. The conference attracts scientists and engineers from academia, government and private laboratories, students and researchers, and importantly the industry that can commercialise this research.
This year the Conference will feature a new stream dedicated to commercialisation of nanotechnology including case studies by startup companies; how to take a product from discovery to market; capital raising; IP; regulatory issues; and more. It is also intended to offer the facility for business matching to delegates and industry participants. The Conference host organisations are committed to ensuring that the highest calibre of plenary and symposium speakers attend this meeting, and have already confirmed participation of two outstanding international speakers as outlined later in this document.
We understand sponsors are looking for return on their investment. Both the marketing campaign and the onsite elements of the enclosed packages recognise this and are structured to assist you meet your marketing objectives. The potential of nanotechnology is such that those who invest now in its future will reap the benefits.

ICONN 2008
In response to demand from several Universities wishing to advertise their undergraduate courses, postgraduate programs and research opportunities in the fields of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, ICONN 2008 has decided to include a dedicated area within the main exhibition area that will be solely for the use of Universities. There will be just 10 spots available within this "University display area" which will enable Universities to host a table top display and these will be erected around the periphery of the poster area, in order to maximize exposure to registrants, and in particular students and early career researchers.
The ANU, Monash and Melbourne Universities have already committed to displaying in this dedicated area. Each Tabletop will be sold at a discounted rate. Should your university wish to take advantage of this special ICONN 2008 offer and exhibit a tabletop display amongst other renowned Universities in a dedicated "University display area", please contact us for more details or simply complete the exhibition application form located at the back of the Sponsorship and exhibition prospectus and fax it back to us (03 9320 8699). Download a copy of the exhibition application form. Please tick the early bird rate in the tabletop display exhibition options.
One of ICONN 2008's primary goals is to attract a wider than usual cross section of people from Academia. Hence we would like to welcome your university's fresh ideas and would hope that this especially dedicated environment will create diverse networking opportunities.
